Notice of AGM and proxies
Notice is hereby given that the 69th annual general meeting of shareholders of AngloGold Ashanti will be held in The Auditorium, AngloGold Ashanti Limited, 76 Jeppe Street, Newtown, Johannesburg, South Africa, on Monday, 13 May 2013, at 11:00 (South African time), to consider and, if deemed fit, pass, with or without modification, the ordinary and special resolutions and to deal with such other business as may be lawfully dealt with at the meeting.

Shareholders and others attending the annual general meeting are asked to register at the registration desk at the venue. Shareholders and proxies are required to provide proof of identity – see “IDENTIFICATION” on page 3 of the Notice of Meeting.
Electronic participation
To participate in the annual general meeting by means of a conference call facility – see “ELECTRONIC PARTICIPATION” on page 4 of the Notice of Meeting.
Security
Secure parking is provided at the venue. Mobile telephones should be switched off during the annual general meeting.
