External charters which guide us
AngloGold Ashanti seeks to be transparent about its business and sustainability performance and produces a suite of annual reports containing detailed information designed to meet the broad range of stakeholder needs.
In 2014, this suite of annual reports included:
- The Integrated Report 2014 – guided by the International Integrated Reporting Committee’s framework on integrated reporting and produced in line with the recommendations of the South African King Code on Corporate Governance 2009 (King III) and the Listing Requirements of the Johannesburg Stock Exchanges (JSE), which is the company’s primary listing.
- The online sustainable development report 2014 – compiled in accordance with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) G4 guidelines. The report also serves as the 2014 Communication on Progress (COP) for the business under the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) and is aligned with the sustainable development framework of the International Council on Mining and Metals (ICMM), of which AngloGold Ashanti is a member.
- The Mineral Resource and Ore reserve report 2014 – compiled in accordance with the SMAREC and JORC codes. The report is prepared under the supervision of, and reviewed and signed off by the Competent Persons as defined by these codes.
- The Annual Financial statements 2014 – presents the statutory and regulatory information that must be published in terms of the company's stock exchange listings. Prepared in accordance with the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS); the South African Companies Act, 71 of 2008, as amended; and the listing requirements of the JSE.
